Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit: The candidates applying for the position of Assistant Professor at Sibsagar College should not exceed 38 years of age as of January 1, 2023. However, there is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, and 10 years for PWD candidates.
- Residentship: It is mandatory for the candidates to possess a Permanent Residential Certificate and have knowledge of the local languages.
- Educational Qualification and Selection Procedure: The educational qualification and selection procedure will adhere to the guidelines provided in the Government Office Memorandum No. AHE.239/2021/68 dated January 24, 2022. Candidates must have cleared the NET/SLET/SET examinations, which are mandatory eligibility conditions. However, candidates with a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC Ph.D. regulations of 2009 are exempted from the minimum eligibility requirement of NET/SLET/SET.
Candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point at the Master's level in the relevant subject. There is a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/Differently abled categories at the Graduate and Master's level for eligibility purposes. The candidate must have acquired the required qualifications as of the last date for submitting applications.
Note that eligibility criteria such as M.Phil/Ph.D., Seminar Papers, and Publications can be acquired and submitted on the date of the interview and not beyond.
