 Job Profile of Community Health Officer (CHO): 

The Community Health Officer (CHO) cadre is a crucial part of the Ayushman Bharat initiative, aimed at strengthening Sub-Centers as Health and Wellness Centers (H&WCs). CHOs play a pivotal role in extending primary healthcare services to Sub-Center areas, implementing public health programs, and promoting disease prevention.

 

 

 Eligibility Criteria: 

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed B.Sc (Nursing) or Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) with Integrated Certificate Course in Community Health or B.Sc. (Community Health) from a recognized institution.

• B.Sc.(Nursing) / Post Basic B. Sc Nursing should be from a Nursing institution/ University recognized by Indian Nursing Council / Assam Nurses Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council.

• Candidates must be Registered Nurse Registered Midwife (RNRM) from Assam Nurses Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council.

• Candidates shall submit a Certificate from the Principal of their respective Nursing College (where the candidate has passed) for confirmation of the Integrated Certificate Course in Community Health as per the given format (Please refer Appendix I).

 

Age Limit:

Candidates must be below 35 years of age, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC and ST candidates as on 1st June 2023.
