 Pay Scale: 

  • Navik (General Duty): Rs. 21,700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based .
  • Navik (Domestic Branch): Rs. 21,700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based .
  • Yantrik: Rs. 29,200/- (Pay Level-5) plus Yantrik pay @ Rs. 6,200 plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based .

 Selection Process: 

The selection process for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023 involves several stages to ensure that candidates meet the required standards. Here's an overview:-


 Stage I – Computer Based Online Test: 

  • This is the initial stage where candidates will appear for a computer-based online test.
  • The test will consist of multiple-choice questions and will assess candidates on various subjects depending on the posts they have applied for.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect responses.


 Stage II- Assessment & Adaptability Test, Physical Fitness Test, Document Verification, and Initial Medicals Examination: 

This stage involves multiple components:

  • Assessment & Adaptability Test: This evaluates a candidate's suitability for employment in the Indian Coast Guard.
  • Physical Fitness Test: This assesses a candidate's physical capabilities and endurance.
  • Document Verification: Ensures that all required documents are in order.
  • Initial Medicals Examination: A basic medical examination to ensure candidates meet the required health standards.


 Stage III- Document Verification and Final Medical Examination: 

  • In this stage, candidates' documents will be thoroughly verified.
  • A final medical examination will be conducted at INS Chilka to ensure candidates meet the specified medical standards.


 Stage IV- Training: 

Candidates who successfully clear all previous stages will undergo training at INS Chilka. This training is designed to prepare candidates for their roles in the Indian Coast Guard.
