Eligibility Criteria:
a) Income Criteria:
Individuals who are not eligible for reservation under SC, ST, and OBC categories and have a gross annual family income below Rs. 6.00 lakh (Rupees Six lakh only) are considered as Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) for the purpose of reservation.
The income includes earnings from all sources such as salary, agriculture, business, profession, etc., for the financial year prior to the year of application.

- The candidate should submit the income and asset certificate by the closing date for receipt of applications, unless a different crucial date has been specified.
- In the offer of appointment to candidates claiming to belong to the EWS category, the appointing authorities should include the following clause:
"The appointment is provisional and is subject to the verification of the Income and Asset Certificate through the proper channels. If the verification reveals that the claim to belong to the EWS category is fake/false, the services will be terminated immediately without further reasons and without prejudice to any further action that may be taken under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code for the production of a fake/false certificate."
- The appointing authority should verify the authenticity of the Income and Asset Certificate submitted by the candidate through the authority that issued the certificate.
