It is important for all students to be aware that in certain colleges, they are required to register on the college’s portal as well. Once students have submitted their applications through the SAMARTH portal, they may need to complete the registration process on the respective college’s portal in order to secure their admission.
The students aspiring to take admissions in all the government and aided colleges of Assam and universities can now use this integrated admission platform called Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal (Samarth eGov) to get admitted in the desired course and institution. Students would now not have to move from place to place for submitting admission forms.
Further, the students registering themselves in the portal can apply in ten colleges of his/ her choice. The admission would be given in the college and course of the choice of the student on the basis of merit. Apart from being convenient the portal would also save the money of the students.

The use of SAMARTH Admission Portal will provide a lot of benefits to both students as well as institutions. Here is a few of those benefits.
- Students will be free from the hassles of applying individually at different colleges.
- Overlapping admission will be avoided.
- Ease the financial burden on Colleges/Universities to maintain ERP system at Institution level.
- No maintenance hassles for the digital platform and no cost involved from the college at any point while using the digital platform.
- Assam Govt. Fee waiver scheme to be linked to SAMARTH. As such all the deserving students can avail fee waiver only when the students apply through the SAMARTH platform.

How to Apply for Samarth UG Admission?:
- Step 1: Scroll down and locate the "Important Web-Links" section.
- Step 2: Click on the "Online Application Form Link."
- Step 3: Register yourself by providing your basic details.
- Step 4: Enter all the necessary personal and educational information as required.
- Step 5: Upload the required educational and other documents.
- Step 6: Once you have filled in all the details and uploaded the documents, submit the form. This will generate an acknowledgement receipt.
- Step 7: Make sure to take a printout of the submitted form and the acknowledgement receipt for your records.
By following these steps, you will be able to successfully complete the online application process on the Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal.
