 Agniveer Salary for the 1st Year 

For candidates selected in the 1st batch of Agniveers in the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy, the salary package for the 1st year is Rs. 30,000 per month. Out of this amount, Rs. 9,000 is deducted as a contribution to the Agniveer Corpus Fund (Seva Nidhi Package).  Agniveer Salary Benefits:

Every month, 30% of the monthly emoluments are contributed by the individuals, and an equal amount is contributed by the Government. As part of the Agneepath Scheme introduced by the government, Agniveer soldiers receive a free insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakhs for the duration of their service period.

 

 

 Agniveer Death/Disability Compensation: 

 Agniveers are entitled to death and disability compensation as follows:

Death during Engagement Period on Bonafide Duty (Category 'Y'/'Z'):

  • Insurance Cover: Rs. 48 lakhs
  • One-time ex-gratia: Rs. 44 lakhs
  • Full pay for an unserved period of up to four years (with effect from the date of death), including the Seva Nidhi component
  • Balance accumulated (as of date) in the individual's Seva Nidhi fund and Government contribution, including interest from the Agniveer Corpus Fund.

Death during Engagement Period Not on Duty (Category 'X'):

  • Insurance Cover: Rs. 48 lakhs
  • Balance accumulated (as on date) in the individual's Seva Nidhi fund and Government contribution, including interest from the Agniveer Corpus Fund.
Disability (Attributed/Aggravated due to Conditions of Engagement):
  • One-time ex-gratia: Rs. 44/25/15 lakhs based on the percentage of disability (100/75/50) from the Public Fund.
  • Full pay for an unserved period of up to four years (with effect from the date of disability), including the Seva Nidhi component (from the Public Fund).
  • Balance accumulated (as of date) in the individual's Seva Nidhi fund, including interest and Government contribution from the Agniveer Corpus Fund.
